Close to 25,000 Experiencing Electricity in South-East Queensland and Victoria Following Severe Weather Systems
Nearly twenty-five thousand households in south-east Queensland were left lacking electricity on Monday morning after intense storm systems impacted the area, generating strong winds topping 109 kilometers per hour.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Widespread Destruction
Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Response teams were working to restore energy supply throughout the impacted areas, with dozens of response units deployed to address the widespread outages.
Southern State's Climate Difficulties
Meanwhile, approximately one thousand residents in the southern state also experienced power outages after the metropolitan area saw its wettest day in over 500 days.
State Emergency Services responded to over five hundred requests for assistance across the region, mainly for property damage but also for downed trees and inundation.

Meteorological Predictions
Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of eastern Queensland this week as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the coast.
Tuesday was forecast to be the wettest day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across multiple regions of both areas.
Health Warning
Health officials alerted that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
This warning comes after previous incidents where comparable situations led to substantial respiratory problems in the region.
