Tottenham Hotspur supporters who jeered keeper Guglielmo Vicario were informed later "those individuals can't be true Spurs supporters" by boss Thomas Frank.

Tottenham conceded a pair of goals in the first initial moments to fall 2-1 to their opponents, marking their 10th Premier League home loss of 2025.

But the main talking point was Fulham's next goal when the keeper lost the ball well outside his box.

He ventured out to handle a high pass and carried the ball near the touchline.

However, rather than booting it into touch, the Italy international turned and tried to clear away, but lost his footing as the ball glanced off Wilson and was collected by King.

The forward laid the ball off to Wales midfield player Harry Wilson, who bent a strike into the goal from the sideline recorded at thirty-six point six metres.

Seconds later when the ball went to Vicario again, some Spurs supporters jeered him.

The team were jeered off at the interval, with the club 2-0 behind, and once more at the final whistle.

A particular of those booing sessions truly irritated the manager.

"I heard some of our supporters apparently jeered the incident and booed following, which, in my opinion is totally unacceptable," the Danish manager stated regarding the supporters' response to his shot-stopper.

"[They] can't be real Spurs fans that act that way. Alright jeering after the game, no problem, but when we are in play, we are backing one another, we are behind one another going forward."

Kenny Tete had given the visitors a early lead before Harry Wilson's goal – with Kudus netting for Spurs in an improved second-half performance.

Former top-flight keeper Hart stated that the second score was "totally preventable".

"I certainly appreciate the supporters' disappointment," the ex-keeper continued. "I know the role the keeper is performing. He is a excellent squad member, he's a true figure in the dressing room but ultimately you are going to be assessed by your actions.

"The keeper was deeply implicated in what ended up to be the winning score."

'It is In the Game, I'm a Big Man'

Italian international Vicario is in his third campaign with Spurs.

The 29-year-old said after the match that he had to accept the criticism.

"That goal was a mistake of mine, I accept responsibility for that," he said.

"My aim was to kick the ball long and I just hit the ball in a poor manner. That made an even bigger mountain to climb."

He stated receiving jeers "is part of football".

"I'm a big man, what can I say?" he added. "The team cannot be influenced by the circumstances in the crowd. The fans have the entitlement to do as they see fit.

"It's on the team to remain increasingly composed, to focus on ourselves. We are lacking in composure and poise to reverse results. This match is a bad loss and it is hard to take."

'I Was Surprised No One Returned to the Line'

In spite of Vicario's error, it was not an easy goal for Wilson to score.

Actually it was the second longest-range top division score of the season – following Adams' forty-three point three yard strike for Bournemouth against the Black Cats, which incidentally too occurred on Saturday.

The goalscorer stated he was "a little bit surprised" that he still had an open goal to aim for.

Ten seconds passed between Vicario exiting of his area and the midfielder shooting – which was five seconds after the clearance.

"It seemed to me like the goalkeeper was out of the box for ages," Wilson remarked.

"I was surprised not one of the defenders returned to the goal line. When none of them defended the net, my eyes sparked somewhat.

"Udogie fell too, which allowed me a bit of additional time. After that it was solely about attempting to make the right connection and place it towards goal. I felt a positive feeling, as soon as it left my boot, that it was on the right line."

'During in a Poor Run, Everything Seems to Work Against You'

Although the keeper's error led headlines, this was an overall bad day for Tottenham to extend their home ground woes.

This was their 10th home loss of the year in the Premier League, a shared club record matching 1994 and 2003.

They still have home games against Frank's former club the Bees and title holders Liverpool to come prior to the end of the year.

Only one of those wins have occurred after the manager took over from Ange Postecoglou in the summer.

"If you are down 2-0 following six minutes, there is a mountain to climb," stated Frank.

"When you're in a poor run, all aspects appears to work against you as well – the first was a redirected shot, the second is a mistake from Vic.

"The outcome leaves us in a place where we have suffered an additional game. Each fixture has a single story, this game we were defeated in the first six minutes.

"We just need to continue striving. The second half was significantly improved and hopefully something we can utilize to develop."

Tottenham have been defeated in 4 straight home London derbies for the initial time in the top division.

And they are averaging nine point five attempts and three point two shots on target per match in the division – their poorest averages on file in a single campaign (dating back to 2003-04).

Ex- Fulham midfield player Danny Murphy stated that the manager has to ride the storm.
