The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in a California Vehicle Accident

The visionary game developer, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a motorway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
